COVID-19 Update

To our valued patients,

Here at Geaux Smiles, our main priority has always been to protect the health, safety and overall well-being of our patients, team and community. Just like you, we are closely monitoring new developments regarding the circumstances of COVID-19. We will continue to screen patients before we schedule and during check-ins to protect our staff and community.

Appointment screening:

  1. Are you experiencing a fever, cough or difficulty breathing?

    1. Receive medical clearance via negative COVID-19 test result

    2. At least 14 days since your symptoms first appeared and is asymptomatic (defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medication and improvement in respiratory symptoms) (e.g., cough, shortness of breath).

  3. Have you been in close contact with someone that has been diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days? If so, you will not be seen until at least 14 days and you are asymptomatic.

During your appointment:

  1. Please call our office at (504) 366-3052 once you arrive for curbside check-in.

  2. Our waiting room will be closed. We ask that you remain in your vehicle when you arrive for your appointment. We will notify you once we are ready for you to come inside the office to adhere to social distancing.

  3. Only patients will be allowed in the office. We ask that any other family members or caretakers stay in their vehicles.

  4. Your temperature will be checked. We will not be able to see you if you are experiencing a fever of 100.4 degrees or above. We will reschedule your appointment 14 days out or sooner with medical clearance.

  5. We will ask you to use our hand sanitizer

  6. Sign COVID-19 Pandemic Emergency Dental Treatment Consent Form

Please note that no exceptions to these precautions will be made, as this is for the safety of our entire community. Keep smiling, we will get through this together!
